Scott Cawthon is the author of the independent point-and-click survival horror video game titled Five Nights at Freddy's 4 Pc Game (often referred to as FNaF4). The setting of this Five Nights at Freddy's game is a child's bedroom rather than a security office, in contrast to prior installments.

The user receives on-screen instructions to assist them while playing the game in place of "Phone Guy" and there are no cameras. Similar to the second game, the player possesses a torch, but this one has infinite power.

If the player hears Nightmare Bonnie's or Nightmare Chica's breathing at the door, or if they see Nightmare Fredbear or Nightmare after turning on the torch, they must immediately close the door; however, the door will open as the player walks away. In addition, the player must keep an eye on the closet and, if necessary, seal it to prevent Nightmare Foxy from attacking.

Three little animatronics called 'Freddles' must also be pushed off the bed before they can summon Nightmare Freddy to attack the player. The player will get jump-scared and lose the game if they do not use caution while flashing the light towards the corridors or if they leave the doors, wardrobe and bed unattended for an extended period of time.
