In a new Minecraft game inspired by vintage subterranean adventures, blast your way past adversaries. Defeat dungeons by yourself or with pals. To rescue the villagers and vanquish the Arch-Villain, up to four players may engage in epic battle together on dynamic and different levels of wealth. To combat the vicious waves of new unpleasant enemies, locate a treasure that contains strong new weapons and gear. Run or fight your way across minefields, bogs, and ravines. Any intrepid traveller bold or dumb enough to explore this lovely blocky world has to be well-prepared. So don't be reluctant and arm yourself.

Weapons are instruments that are used to harm targets with close-range or long-range strikes. They will be charmed to increase their power. The player is protected from harm and given more health by wearing armour. It is frequently enchanted to increase its potency as well as give the player additional uses. For example, the burning enchantment creates a burning aura, while the chilling enchantment creates a chilling aura that slows mobs. Neither of these enchantments necessarily increase protection, but they do give the player more utility. Artefacts are items that the player may utilise to gain significant advantages, do harm to opponents, heal teammates, etc. They function in a manner similar to spells that have an effect and a cooldown period.

Part of the introductory level, Squid Coast, has a camp "hub world" with stores that may be unlocked by rescuing their merchants. Since levels are procedurally produced, world seeds were a possibility for Mojang. Players may choose their avatar from the given skins, with more skins being offered as paid DLC. Skins made by character creators and those bought in the original version of Minecraft cannot be used in Minecraft Dungeons.
